Job Summary: 

AMF Bakery Systems is seeking a driven and self-motivated Area Sales Manager to develop new business opportunities for AMF Bakery Systems in Germany, France, Italy & Scandinavian Countries.  This position will be partnering with Engineering, Project Management, and Marketing teams to deliver superior products and customers solutions to our clients. Territories include Germany, France, Italy, Scandinavia (Denmark/Sweden/Iceland/Norway/Finland)

Essential Duties/Responsibilities (included, but not limited to): 

  • Develop and execute a strategy for establishing new customer relationships and business opportunities
  • Develop and execute a revenue growth strategy for existing customers leading to the additional sales of products
  • Partner with the Marketing team to develop marketing materials for customers
  • Execute thorough customer account analysis and prepare reports of field activities and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) against targets and forecasts
  • Attend quarterly Sales review meetings with the Sales Director (Based in the UK)
  • Identify required country visits and plan specific customer meetings
  • Maintain customer relations, respond to and anticipate customer needs and address any issues raised by customers in a timely manner
  • Prepare proposals for customers based on their requirements
  • Partner with the New Product Development team to research/develop new products/ranges (Based in USA)
  • Partner with project managers to deliver products and solutions per contract requirements
  • Negotiate contracts to include commercial terms, pricing and fulfillment of all agreed upon requirements
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks

Education/Experience (included, but not limited to): 

  • Strong focus on customer service and ability to build relationships
  • Excellent communications skills to include listening skills
  • Experience with pricing and executing sales strategies
  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills
  • Proven decision-making and problem-solving abilities
  • Great organizational skills and ability to prioritize work
  • Willingness to travel and drive in Europe, extensive business travel, week in, week out
  • Holder of clean UK/European driving license
  • Bi-lingual (European Language) would be a distinct advantage
