Richmond, VA – April 18, 2017 – AMF Bakery Systems announced today the appointment of Jamie Bryan as General Manager of AMF Bake-Tech in Tucker, Georgia. Bryan will be responsible for leading the Tucker teammates as they design, engineer, and manufacture the industry-leading Bake-Tech Continuous Proofer, Oven, Cooler, and Conveying Systems.
Bryan joins AMF Bakery Systems from Manchester Tank, a pressure vessel manufacturer, where as General Manager he focused on reducing lead times, improving production efficiency, and driving improvements to reduce quality issues and product defects.
“Coming from outside the baking industry, Jamie brings fresh thinking and strong leadership experience with engineered-to-order manufacturing and custom engineering businesses,” said Colin Powell, Global Vice President of Operations for AMF Bakery Systems. “He has a track record of success developing high performing teams and delivering exceptional business results. Bryan has a Master of Business Administration from Kent University. He also achieved a Master of Science in Industrial Engineering during his continuing education from Purdue University.

AMF WELCOMES JAMIE HANKINS AS REGIONAL ACCOUNT MANAGER FOR THE UPPER MIDWEST
Richmond, VA – February 9, 2017 – AMF Bakery Systems announced today Jamie Hankins will join the company as Regional Account Manager for the Upper Midwest, North American sales team. Formerly Senior Account Manager for Baker Thermal Solutions, Hankins will utilize his proficiency in systems engineering and project management to offer enhanced sales and customer service support to AMF customers throughout the region.
A 33-year industry veteran, Hankins has served in a variety of leadership positions throughout the baking industry including Baker Perkins, APV Baker, Turkington Engineering, and most recently Baker Thermal Solutions. “A large portion of my career has been centered around engineering and project management. I have served as Systems Engineering Manager, Applications Engineering Manager, and Account Management in Canada, Eastern U.S., Mexico, and Latin America,” noted Hankins.

DK Engineering, provides mixers, rack ovens, conveyors, cooling racks, and bread slicers, among other automated food production solutions.
With over 30-years of experience in the bakery business, DK Engineering brings with it a large network of long-established relationships throughout East Africa. With offices in Nairobi, Kenya and Kampala, Uganda, DK Engineering will help foster relationships with existing and potential customers in Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, and Ethiopia.

AMF Announces Promotion of Colin Powell to Vice President of Global Operations
Richmond, VA – April 1, 2016 – AMF Bakery Systems announced today the promotion of Colin Powell to Vice President Global Operations for AMF Bakery Systems. Powell will be responsible for leading all aspects of solution delivery including Operations, Project Management, and Customer Service to commercial bakers worldwide.
A 17-year company veteran, Powell has served in a variety of management positions at AMF’s headquarters in Richmond, VA culminating in his role leading Operations for the Richmond plant. With the rapid growth and development throughout the Asia Pacific market and the proliferation of low-cost manufacturing in China, Colin agreed to lead AMF’s Asia Pacific Operations, beginning in 2005.
“Colin was faced with an enormous challenge of leading the Commercial Operations at AMF’s Tianjin plant in addition to our Singapore customer service office, and the broader Asia Pacific sales team,” said Jason Ward, AMF’s Executive Vice President, in announcing the promotion. “Thanks to his leadership and the strong team he has built in the region, we have developed a thriving manufacturing base in China and are well positioned to continue our growth throughout Asia Pacific as well as other emerging markets.”
