AMF Addresses Threat of Coronavirus

March 17, 2020

As you are well aware, the Coronavirus (COVID19) has now become a global issue, and at AMF Bakery Systems we are monitoring developments daily. The safety and well-being of our teammates and customers are at the forefront of what we do, and we are committed to supporting our customers in any way possible through this crisis.

Responding to Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and World Health Organization (WHO) guidance, AMF has restricted non-essential business travel and non-essential visits to our plant locations.  Our site engineers remain available for remote support and our regional technicians are available for essential bakery installation, service and repair work within the CDC and WHO travel recommendations.   Given the challenges of this situation, as a precaution, we are asking all customers to check their stock levels of AMF spare parts (particularly critical and wear items) and to re-stock accordingly. This will help AMF to manage any sudden increase in demand.

In terms of new machine production, our facilities in North America, Europe and China remain at normal capacity and committed to fulfilling existing orders as well as supporting new business moving forward.

We recognize the importance of your continued operations to support the global food supply chain now more than ever.  We ask that you stay in close contact with your AMF sales and service representatives, as our regional teams are ready and available to assist you in your operations.  If you have any questions regarding your regional contacts, you can find a list of all regional contacts on our website at https://amfbakery.com/contact/.

We will continue to monitor developments daily and will provide regular updates if or when there are adjustments to our policy. Please do not hesitate to contact us should you have any questions concerning this situation.

Sincerely,

Jason Ward
President
