Shipping and Receiving Lead

Location: Tucker, Georgia

Job Summary:

Accurately Pick, Pack and Ship various sizes of parts orders for package or LTL shipping or international shipping.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities: Include, but are not limited to:

  • Assure that all safety procedures and policies are followed.
  • Accurately pick parts and assemblies for customer orders
  • Operate UPS World Ship for package shipping.
  • International Shipping
  • Invoicing experience
  • Receive package
  • Update MS D365 ERP shipments as necessary
  • Create and process corresponding documents – Packing Slips/Commercial Invoices, etc.
  • Load and unload trucks as necessary.
  • Inventory checking/counting, annually and as required
  • Assist in the implementation of Continuous Improvement initiatives
  • Practice Customer service skills when interacting with other companies and internal customers.
  • Perform Daily Cycle counting.
  • Work closely with other functions in department and assembly groups to solve picking issues promptly
  • Provide Back up support for other areas of the departments as necessary

Education/Experience: Include, but are not limited to:

  • High School Education or Equivalent
  • 5 years of warehouse experience required
  • Lift/Fork Truck experience preferred
  • The ability to build skids and wood crates a plus
  • Experience processing small package shipping required.
  • Experience processing international shipments a plus

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Include, but are not limited to:

  • Ability to operate a Forklift Truck in a safe manner
  • Load and unload trucks as necessary.
  • Ability to comprehend verbal and written instructions.
  • Basic Math and Organizational Skills
  • General warehouse experience preferred
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds
  • Ability to prioritize and juggle multiple tasks
  • Computer literate
  • Experience with MSD365 or ERP a plus
  • Knowledge of using MS Office products
  • Ability to Problem Solve quickly and prioritize daily tasks according to importance.
  • Personal accountability and integrity are paramount

Working Conditions: Typical manufacturing facility conditions.

  • Indoors (95%) and outdoors (5%) working conditions.
  • The facility is heated in winter, but not air-conditioned in summer.
  • Employees must be able to stand on concrete floors for a minimum of eight hours. Kneeling, squatting, bending over, and standing for long periods may be required to perform assigned tasks.
  • Safety steel-toed shoes and safety glasses are required
  • Long pants and a sleeved shirt (short sleeves at a minimum) are required.
  • Comfortable with working in a fast-paced environment
